| w/EDDIE OJEDA |
| Dawn/TheMetalWeb.com: Let us talk about the NY Steel Benefit Concert, whose idea was it to do the reunion and Benefit? Eddie Ojeda: It was kind of a spontaneous thing. We all just kind of knew it was something we had to do. We were all born and raised here so it was a very personal thing for everybody in the band. Dawn/TheMetalWeb.com: Can you explain about the NY Steel Benefit Concert and the proceeds. To what organization do these proceeds go, and how much of the ticket sales go to aiding the families from the Sept. 11th attack? Eddie Ojeda: The money is going to the police and firefighters families, and I believe that some will also benefit some of the family's that lost there husbands and wives at the WTC Dawn/TheMetalWeb.com: With the orig. members of Twisted Sister participating in this, is Twisted Sister ready to reunite? Say Yes! I know you have many fans hoping. Eddie Ojeda: I hope this will start something up for us. I would love to do a full out tour but we will see what happens. Dawn/TheMetalWeb.com: After the reunion, what are your hopes in the way of Twisted Sister? Eddie Ojeda: I hope we can start playing out again and maybe do a new album. We are really getting along great these days, it is like a brotherhood. Dawn/TheMetalWeb.com: Any chance in the near future of Twisted Sister recording a long awaited album and doing a possible tour? Eddie Ojeda: I hope so but it has to be a band decision. Dawn/TheMetalWeb.com: It is a really great thing what Twisted and the rest of the bands involved are doing. I know the attack on the US hit a little too close to home for me. What are your thoughts on what happened? Especially, with the new Anthrax scare right in our own backyards. Eddie Ojeda: War always sucks but freedom has always come at a high price. People are just jealous of America because it represents that freedom so they will always try to take it away from us but they never will. Dawn/TheMetalWeb.com: Onto a lighter subject what has the members of Twisted Sister been up to individually and musically since the departure? I know Dee runs a Radio Station. Is anyone in new projects or in the process of recording new material? Eddie Ojeda: I am working on doing a solo album with two other songwriters and trying to get a deal so will see what happens. Wish me luck. Dawn/TheMetalWeb.com: Throughout the years, have any of the members worked together musically after departing the band? Do you think any of you will work together again as musicians? Eddie Ojeda: Well A.J. plays with Dee in SMF when he does shows. However, I am sure some of us will work on some projects together in the future. Dawn/TheMetalWeb.com: In doing this benefit/reunion, what can twisted fans expect from the show? Eddie Ojeda: It’s going to kick ass, when I leave rehearsals I'm so pumped up that it take me about four hours to get to sleep Dawn/TheMetalWeb.com: What tracks will be performed and is there any new material? Eddie Ojeda: For now, we are just going to stick to the classic stuff and maybe a couple of real old tunes from are early days in the clubs. Dawn/TheMetalWeb.com: I know it was stated that Twisted Sister would not be fronting the old garb and make-up at this gig. What about the stage show, will that consist of the old "Twisted Sister" signature style of the past? Eddie Ojeda: Huge, loud, big ass amps up the wazoo my sister! Dawn/TheMetalWeb.com: Eddie, I have to ask, back then it was said that the band broke up because "the band started hating each other as a result of jealousies within the band" to "Dee's head got to big for the band" etc.. Please dispel all the rumors of the Twisted Sister break-up and set the record straight in your own words. Eddie Ojeda: Well that was part of it but it was not all his fault. Things just got rough between us all being together all the time, and instead of trying to work it out and dragging it through the mud; we tried to go out on a high note. Dawn/TheMetalWeb.com: With or without make-up, jeans & t-shirts or Twisted Sister old style garb, the band knows how to rip it up! That is what it is about, the music! Good luck with the benefit, do you have any parting words for The Metal Web!? Eddie Ojeda: Well I just want to wish you guy’s the best of luck and thanks for keeping are type of music alive.
